We are a family of five, our home is located at the foothills of the Adirondacks in Rome, New York. We take our Standard Poodle breeding program seriously, and offer quality puppies for families everywhere. We breed Standard poodles for the love of the breed, with an understanding to better the breed for future generations. We are always trying to improve what we have, and want to offer the best standard poodles in New York. Our dogs live in our home, lay on our furniture, and even sleep with us. We hope to be able to offer your family a beautiful Standard Poodle to bring love and joy to your home as well.

A quality Standard Poodle will have a calm disposition, strong conformation, intelligent personality, patience, and a desire to please. They are completely non- shedding, almost odor free, love the water and like to play hard. They can be quiet and make wonderful watch dogs for your family or they will sleep all day if you let them. The poodle is one of the most diversified dog I know. For the families that think they want a Doodle you really need to meet a poodle and understand that all the other breeds(some kind of doodle ) just want the poodle.

These Puppies Are Our Family
Hillside standard poodles is owned by Rachael & Melbourne Sann. Over the years Rachael has been a care giver owning two NYS licensed children daycare centers, while raising her own family as well. Rachael enjoys spending her free time at the beach, going to the barn with the horses, and hanging out with the family. Melbourne has served in the US Army, has always been an entrepreneur, and has two inventions and US patents. Melbourne enjoys spending his free time going out west, hunting, and building things for the poodles and spending time at the pool with family.
Together they have a passion to raise healthy beautiful standard poodle puppies for families. Rachael & Melbourne wanted a family pet, but when their daughter Savana developed allergies to dogs they thought that would never happen. They started their research and discovered the Poodle!
Almost 18 yrs ago they got their first poodle and it has been love ever since.
Our daughter Savana is the reason we got our first standard poodle. Savana suffered very bad allergies and wanted a dog. I started my search and found the Poodle. Benny and Savana are best friends. Savana helps with the breeding and raising the puppies. She has recently started to transport puppies for Hillside to families all over. She is a true puppy lover and it is so nice to have her as part of the team.
Our Daughter London
She Just Loves Them!
London is now 12 and continues her passion for our puppies, she has trained for families and continues to work with her own poodle Wyatt & Winston. London has an act for animals and a passion to excel with them. She shows horses as well, plays soccer, and the rest of her time is spent doing what ever she can with the dogs. She will be doing agility training this winter. She loves puppies and is my biggest helper.
Our son Melby
He loves to hang out with the puppies too!!
Melby is now 17. He enjoys being the Lacross goalie for our school in the spring, playing foot ball in the fall, and down hill skiing in the winter. In his free time he helps evaluate puppies and socialize them as they are growing. Melby helps with hillside looking great! He is still looking for his forever poodle.

Our adult poodles are health tested for OFA Hips, Vwd, Dm, NeWs, Pra 4, Pra 2. They are AKC registered and we have been working with our Standard Poodle lines for many generations.

Our Promise
All of our puppies are from AKC tested parents. Tails are docked and dew claw removed. (We also offer the Doodle Your Poodle read more about that on the here).
Our puppies are raised in our home with children and other dogs. Our puppies come with a lifetime microchips and a 3 yr health guarantee. All puppies are up to date with vaccines and AKC papers limited registration.
Your puppy package will include PawTree dog food, AKC registration, collar, leash, blanket, and toys.
Puppies are $2500 per Standard Poodle puppy. A $500 deposit is required to hold a puppy. If you have any question please feel free to call us at (315) 865-8739.
